Statement by Governor Pat Quinn On the Passing of Radio Legend Bob Sanders

CHICAGO - Governor Pat Quinn issued the following statement on the passing of radio legend Bob Sanders:

"We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of a true radio pioneer, Bob Sanders.

"For more than a decade, he and his wife, Betty Sanders, entertained and edified Chicago listeners on the popular ‘Bob and Betty Show.' The gentle humor and intellectual curiosity of this trailblazing wife-and-husband team brightened our days and elevated our public discourse. Bob was a World War II veteran, a gifted writer and an engaging conversationalist. We extend our sympathies to Betty and their family."
