$60,000 in Illinois FIRST Projects for the West Suburbs

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today that he is releasing $60,000 in Illinois FIRST funding for projects in the West Suburbs, including $50,000 to Family Counseling Services of Aurora to help with the cost of purchasing a building at 70 South River Street. The organization is contributing $300,000.

This Illinois FIRST was initiated by State Sen. Ed Petka, R-Plainfield.

Other Illinois FIRST grants announced by Ryan:

  • $10,000 to the Community Career Center, Naperville to purchase a computer, a fax machine, a copier, printers, ZIP drives and print cartridges to print and mail a newsletter.
