I urge all veterans, their families, friends, and members of the community to support these events."

Wednesday's event was free and open to the public, and was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than a dozen federal, state and local agencies and organizations participated, including Illinois Worknet Center, the University of Illinois Career Center, U.S. Army Wounded Warriors, Busey Bank VA Home Loans and Parkland College Veterans Services, among others.
