Statement from Governor Pat Quinn on the Resignation of B. Joseph White, University of Illinois President

CHICAGO – September 23, 2009. The Governor issued the following statement:

“B. Joseph White, president of the University of Illinois, has submitted his letter of resignation to the University of Illinois’ Board of Trustees. His resignation is effective December 31, 2009. I thank him for his service to our great institution. The Board of Trustees’ search for a new president will be conducted with deliberate speed. I am confident the University of Illinois is moving forward and that its best days are ahead.”
