Ryan: $250,000 in Illinois FIRST Projects for DuPage County

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today that he is releasing $250,000 in Illinois FIRST funding for projects in DuPage County, including $250,000 to the Village of Roselle to construct a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.

This project is one of six segments that will eventually be connected into one complete 18 mile bridge. This will provide safe passage over Lake Street, which is seven lanes. The village is contributing $530,000.

This Illinois FIRST project was initiated by State Rep. Carole Pankau, R-Roselle.
