SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. George H. Ryan today appointed Tobias G. Barry to the Illinois Gaming Board.

"The work of the Gaming Board is important and challenging and today's appointment further reflects my desire to appoint individuals with great integrity and success in various fields that represent a diverse background of experience."

Barry, 77, of Ladd, Illinois, is an attorney with the firm of Aplington, Kaufman, McClintock, Steele and Barry, Ltd. in LaSalle, consulting in arbitration and mediation.
