Deadlines Approaching For 2012 Illinois State Fair Competitions

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The time has come to submit entries for the many competitions that will be held during the 2012 Illinois State Fair Aug. 9-19.

The fair offers more than 8,700 competitive events to choose from, ranging from livestock and culinary contests to amateur art and talent competitions. 

Information about these events can be found in the premium books that are available online and in print. They can be found online at www.illinoisstatefair.info under the “Competitions” tab. Print copies can be obtained from the Competitive Events office by calling (217) 782-0786.

The deadlines for various competitions are listed in the table below. If the deadline falls on a weekend, all entries that are postmarked by the following Monday will be accepted.
